Proof of Investment

One of the factors determining issuance of your E-2 Visa is proof of your investment in a business.  So what can you show to prove that you intend to operate a business in the U.S.?  The U.S. State Department – the folks who run the consulates and embassies in countries around the world – list the following as some of the documents that will get you an E-2 Visa:

Escrow
Escrow account statement in the U.S.
Escrow receipt
Signed purchase agreement
Closing and settlement papers
Mortgage documents
Loan documents
Promissory notes
Financial reports
Tax returns

This list is not all inclusive, and there are other documents and statements that may be able to support an E-2 Visa.  Call or email us for guidance on this issue.
